    Rust?
well, the usual, water was passing through the rear window insulation, created a rust hole near (that's how I got the car back in 2005), some of the water that had passed through there, went and ate few holes at the bottom of the spare tire holder, these were all replaced by new car sheet metal, some "top secret" chemistry was used to then insulate them completely, and prevent further rusting from occurring. The rest was the usual.
Was hard to find the paint, as in the European Union there is this new law from the past 2 years or so, that car paint must be all water based... but the water based paint eats up the tape used to divide the different color places, so I went through great trouble getting Du Pont conventional paint for this job, thanks God they still had some left overs of it!
New whether strip for the sliding roof and the front plastic-rubber protectors of the head lights, everything else original... less the 2JZ of course.

Thanks, it's 1G3 Toyota Magnetic Gray Metallic and 147 Toyota Silver Metallic both are the base colors, Du Pont conventional paint.

Good story, especially the part when you found the engine. It seems the more ambitious and hopeful you are about theses cars the luckier you get.
