    Hello from El Paso!

    Hello All.

Let me take the time to introduce myself, I'm Sofo, and I live in El Paso, TX.
I'm 39, love Computers, Cars, Guitars and my Family.

I don't own a Supra, yet. I am enamored with the lines of the Mk II, though.

I used to own an '80 280ZX, worked and loved that car, until a teenager on her cellphone took my Z out at an intersection.

Since then, I've driven an old '88 Celica ST Coupe. She's currently bouncing on springs, becoming rather alcoholic in her oil consumption, and having a fit about her TPS, but I digress. The old girl has 275k on an engine that's been through sandstorms so thick you couldn't see the sun. Carved right through 90+ MPH winds without as much as a shudder. Cut quick enough to avoid a billboard that had tore off it's poles and decided to fly at me once.

She had sat for 3 years when I bought her. Her previous owner had passed away in Juarez, and his wife wouldn't go near the car. He had taken really good care of the old Celica, previous to him passing on.
She started right up after having a charge put into her battery. When She did, her Previous Owner's wife started to cry. She had to let it go, I guess, for her to move on.

Since then she has only stopped running due to a broken timing belt once. I believe that cars have a soul, back when the people that built them poured their blood, sweat and tears into them, striving for perfection.
A sense of pride taken in their work, and engineering.

This little Celica has made a believer out of me. Toughest little car I've ever seen. In a city my size, your car is your life.

My dream car is about an '85 L type ,5 speed of course. N/A or with a little wind blown on it, either way is fine with me.
I've been researching for about two years now, learning what I can about the 5, 6, and 7 M-GE. Thinking of the day when I finally get my own Mk. II and can finally let my Celica get the rest and attention she deserves.

And of course, dreaming about driving the Supra that I haven't met yet.

Thanks for having me on the site, and I look forward to conversing, and learning from you all.

    Kindest Regards,

    Sofo
