This should show where the top four defroster vent screws are located.

Good luck getting those side vents out in one piece.

and anoter question. when u take the dash do u have to take apart the gauges as well like unplug and stuff. cuz if u do. isnt complicated putting them back?1985 P-type red supra with 5m engine

I just put my dash together today. I was doing my heater core so I unplugged almost everything, but it was only to get the wires out of the way. And you don't really have to worry about what plugs into what harness cause it's like pieces to a puzzle. You'll figure it out as soon as you start putting it together.

The gauge cluster just comes out in one piece, it is actually probably one of the easiest parts. The hardest part about that is unpluging the speedo cable and putting it back on if you don't have skinny hands and arms like I do. Other than that it is just plugs that only go in one correct place. Like stated above, like a puzzle.

You have to take apart the lower dash in order to take aparT the top. & just tell them its an 85. It'll cause confusion with the mk3 supra if you tell them its an 86.

ok so this wat i did today: took out the gauge cluster, took the bolts out from the sides, took the screws out from under the two vents Supradad showed me, took out the glove box and started taking some screws out (not all only some) and yet the dam* thing is still in there.
i go at it again tomorrow, now im tired and for some reason there was broken pieces of glass under the gauges i didnt notice and ended up pricking and cutting my fingers smh...... so anyone got some pics on how they took out their dash cuz now im stuck, tired and exhauseted lol...until tomorrow anyway....1985 P-type red supra with 5m engine
