    Reassbled dash but the gauges dont want to work. Can anyone help me?

    so i took out hte dash on my 85 supra painted it black and now im re-assembling it. the problem is i connected the gauges but they dont want to work. can someone to me how to fix it. the the mph or the the Rpm doesnt move even though everything is connected.

    Bad ground? Plugs not clipped in all the way?
    Mine are kinda doing this lately... oil pressure sometimes doesn't work and temp gauges goes wacky.
    Maybe your cluster is finally shot

    wat u mean bad ground. i took the guages out yesterday and took off the dash painted and cleaned it. now im putting it back in, connected the gauges and they want to work. the volts, temp, oil, mph or RPM.

    I just did a 5 speed swap in my Cressida. Got everything figured out on the reverse lockout and backup light wiring. Put it all together and the radio, dome light. clock, and instrument panel lights won't work. I assume its all the same circuit, fuse is good, it's driving me crazy!!!

    i havcent checked the fuse yet. but the clock, and trun lights work. just he rest doesnt

    Fuse would be the first thing. If the battery is connected when doing any kind of electrical work its always possible to short out something and kill the fuse. Good luck.

    oh sh*t...smh...yh i didnt disconnect the battery..... ok the whuch fuse. the one in the engine bay or the one inside the car below the steering column

    Check both places. I went out after my last post and discovered a blown fuse in the panel under the hood. It fixed everything. I can't imagine what I would have done to blow it, but it doesn't matter now. Makes me feel kind of dumb to fiddle around under dash pulling fuses and not check the ones under the hood sooner.

    yh i found a blown fuse under the dash but i check the engne bay tomorrow as well. its really beginning to piss me off the dash stuff. one moment im almost doen then the next i have tio tear it apart again cuz something went wrong or diplaced wrong.

    Clean all connector contacts with spray contact cleaner and pencil eraser
