bov and boost gauge lines can T off at the EGR vac line coming off the manifold??

So im planning on hooking up a boost gauge and a BOV from one of the vac lines coming out from the intake manifold. The line i was going to tap out from runs to the fuel regulator. is this an ok idea??

the screw thingy mabob with the vac line going to it. pointing towards the front of the car.

    is that fine??

You can ONLY tee off the "screwey thing" coming off the front of the manifold with the single vacuum hose.

The vacuum lines coming off the top of the throttle body are not suitable (red arrows), as they do not mimic manifold pressure (what BOV's and boost gauges measure).

What the red arrow points to get's the job done perfectly. I'd save the only good one for your boost gauge instead. Try em out.

Just because one person believes they "get the job done" does not make it the correct way about it. The orifices those throttle body vacuum lines feed off of are on either side of the throttle plate ad different throttle angles. You will have odd-ball results to a boost gauge or BOV. Both devices are designed to receive manifold pressure inputs, and you are not giving them that via your method.

...this makes two wrong-ass answers I've seen out of you tonight (told some guy he could use 7m turbo oil lines on a 5m-gte project, also) and it's time you slow down on the replies until you're really sure.

The source I showed is definitely after the throttle body, and shows vacuum perfectly. As for the other answer...what are the chances someone asks if a 5M has stock turbo oil lines for a 7M, or can be used on that setup?

The source you had the red arrows point at are coming off of the tb, not after it, and iirc, the top arrow port is before the throttle plate.

The best idea I can come up with is grab the 3 port vac off the rear of a 22re plenum and replace the single vac port on the front of the plenum near the dizzy.

Oh crap, I have an entire different setup, and mani, and that source goes solely to the bov, and fixed my flutter. I'll just shut up now and stick to oil change questions...

i like the idea of the FPR and Boost gauge on the same line. but NOTHING else on it. that way if your boost gauge stops working it lets you know that you may not have safe fuel pressure.
