yahoo mail problems?
Anybody else having the same problem with yahoo mail? Up until a couple of months ago, it would keep you signed in for two weeks, now that function is still there but doesn't work, or at least not reliably. About 3 out of 5 times I visit my mail, it asks me to log in. Sometimes I will type an email message and it will ask me to log in when I hit send, then lose the message I just typed. Yes, firefox is set to accept cookies and no it isn't set to clear cache upon exit. And since I am an AT&T customer, that means I effectively have zero technical support. Wondering if its just my computer or if anybody else is having the same trouble. Google searches only turn up old posts on the subject with the same old info. Malware is not showing any viruses on my PC.

i have the same problem but its due to my motherboards button battery is out of juice so every time i shutoff my pc it restarts the date back to 2006, Check to make sure your date is correct on your computer. Other than that i just got a droid and have my yahoo mail setup on it, and it hasn't signed me out of it once.

chances are its a browser issue. if your on ie, reset it. go to internet options, then the advanced tab and hit reset. then the next window comes up. DO NOT check the box, otherwise your favorites will be gone. hit reset again. itll basically restart ie from scratch. after that, id say youre prolly infected with spyware which is likely. that stuff is everywhere.

I just checked, it's keeping me signed in on FireFox12 for Linux Mint. It could be your browser or any add-ons you have running through firefox, or Yahoo might sign you out if they see any of what they consider red flags.

pdupler,
Did you fix your problem yet? If you're using Firefox, make sure its updated to 13.0.1 and then type "about:support" in the address bar then Click "Reset Firefox". This pretty much does what william82 suggested for IE. Backup your bookmarks before doing this just in case though. I tried this hoping it would fix an error I've been having but no lock for me. It erases your add-ons/Extensions if you installed any, so just reinstall them after doing this.
My motherboard battery is over 10 years old and my computer still keeps the date correct. The only time my date resets is if the switch on my power supply is switched off and not plugged into the wall for a long time. Not all power supplies have an on/off switch though. I think your problem could be caused by something else.

Yahoo never worked smoothly for me, not to mention how slow it is...
Gmail works nearly perfect every time.
