problems with w57

hi
so im having a problem where i cant put my car into gear. i have taken the lever out and everything appears to be in order and in good condition. i can also select 3rd and 4th gear using a screwdriver also i put the lever in and pushed down i could select any gear however when i screwed all bolts back in tight i had the same problem

managed to figure it out! the plastic bushing that goes around the big ball bit had disintergrated so lever was slipping down to far! feel like an egg that it took me this long to figure it out haha
