Ignitor issues

[2nd Girlfriend]

..Well, not so much the ignitor itself but the wiring.

Long story short. Cleaning my grounds, hooked the battery up only to see the car wasn't starting. First thing I noticed was that the old brittle wire on the ignitor plug snapped.




You can see that the wire on the left is about to go too.


Did anyone have issues with this before? I'm thinking of saving myself some money and trying to resplice the wires together. I'm attempted to remove the pin but I'm not having any success right now.

Does anyone know how to remove the pin or would I be better off just buying a used ignitor altogether?
