Need an opinion
Hi all, this is my first and need opinions. Im trying to sell my 84 to get one that has already got the 2jzgte in it. The car looks in good shape and will be cheaper in my opinion than doing a swap in mine. My car has completely beat interior. and has a few cosmetic issues. But has a perfect engine and tranny. 145k and its a stick shift. Quite honestly im tired of people wasting my time and lowballing. It has very little rust. When i bought it i fixed everything that was wrong with it and it runs and drives perfectly except for a outer tie rod end that i need to replace. And i have told potential buyers that i will replace it before i sell it to them.. I figured people would appreciate how this car runs and what good shape it is. But i might be wrong but i wouldnt think that a worn interior would make people throw the prices that they have. Im asking 1600firm am i wrong? I was just going to stick some racing seats in it and do away with the rest for weight reduction. But i believe if you a have a mk2 supra that runs and drives good and still looks ok on the outside it should be worth 1600 i think more. Your welcome to put me in my place if im wrong.

I think people will ask you to add pictures along with your description, before they can give an honest opinion dude...just my two cents.

Alright i will add some tommorow when i take a whole lot. Im taking them to put on ebay i guess. Thats another thing i was wondering if im likely to get more putting it on there or will it cost me because of people having to get it shipped. I do have had a good experience selling a car on there. I had a 87 mercedes 300 turbo diesel with about 500k on it and the transmission went out and i put it on there hoping for 500 and ended up getting 900. I thought that was crazy because that car was only worth about 800 if it was still functioning right. But the mercedes people can be nuts, not sure what the supras gonna do

Get the pictures photographed, (non-celluar pics please) host it on a site like photobucket, and link it here. Next give the CS community try first, at least you won't have to worry about ebay AND paypal fees, or whatever method of payment transaction you prefer, but given your feedback and post-rating...well, that's the other thing...you haven't been on here long, to vouch for your credibility. Nonetheless, good luck, you may find a local buyer.

Yes, I believe a worn out interior could be a real deal-breaker. I mean, the interior is where the buyer is expecting to sit and spend a good bit of time. I think its more important to most buyers than the exterior. If the interior is so far gone that nobody wants to drive it, then it could well be considered just a parts car even tho it runs and drives.

I think with all the time spent telling how great my car runs and i think is ive decided im going to keep it and maybe do the 7m swap myself. But i will be posting pics of the car because i want to see if some people around here can help me with some interior parts and some outside trim. I would like to know the best way to clean seats. I beleive there savable but we'll have to see. But gosh i hate my interior its blue fabric w/ 80s stripes uggghhh But i will be happy for it to be original and clean. My wifes grampa is the best in these parts at car upholstery and he does everbodys cars in our family except my family because we're the black sheeps.

OK the sun came out for a little while so i took some pics. And it does seem in a worse condition when i go around and take pictures of everything wrong with it. You can give me what you would value it if you want. Im not selling it now so it really doesnt matter that much. Forgot to take a pic of the engine but trust me its clean. I bought it for 600 dollars and i am mechanically inclined enough to have it running top notch. I replaced the alternator, power steering pump, clutch slave and master, shocks in back, and tie rod ends. And it runs like a dream. Much better than my so-called good car a 06 explorer which the transmission is almost done for. But most of all if you see a part you could help me out with let me know. I dont know if im looking in the wrong places or not but i cant find anything i need. So have a look
