installing my SAFC 2 in an 1982 toyota supra. few questions??!!
http://www.celicasupra.com/forums/sh...Wiring-writeup
i found this thread and was wondering if i can just fallow these same directions and cross reference the wires with my ecu.
does the ecu have some sort of diagram to show which wire is where??
if so. i can splice in the wires from the safc with the coordinating names of the diagram on the ecu.. right??
i am going to turbo my car in the next few days and was very curious about the ecu..
i know many people used an safc 2 on an 82 but i cant find the thread. ahh. well thanks.!! bye and aloha LOL

nope... Probably something you should have done a little searching on first (not to mention Im almost positive it has been mentioned in a convo you were involved in, if not one of your other threads.)
Has to do with the afm signal, tps, and computer design/system/operation.
The safc is hardly useful on 83-86's. I had one in my 85 for a while and at full 50% pull or add, I was barely getting .75-1 afr of adjustment
Hopefully someone else can chime in as my brain isnt working fully, and hopefully give you some helpful info..
This is just a brief recollection of all my searching/research/work on my old 5mgte project.

safc can only work on an 84. 85 tps pot keeps the ecu's brain clear. 84 doesn't hav tps pot so ecu can be fooled,
84 mt 6mge with intake, exhaust, suspension, brake, and wheel mods
85 mt 6mge stock

piggy backs are hard to find that are effective with any of the mk2 systems (too ancient),
but ESPECIALLY the 82 systems cause they are so different. Finding an old hks Fcon would be your best bet...but with 82s, still debatable.
