    Electrical issue/Battery light on

ok so heres my problem. i have recently put a brand new battery in and also a rebuilt alternator. but for some reason, my battery light is still on and losing volts until my battery dies... has anybody else had an issue like this?? Could it be as simple as needing new terminal wires? any suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks.

What brand alt, and where did you get it from? How do the connections on the alt and batt look? Are the terminals and connections tight?
