    Hatch Lift Supports with louvers?

Just a question, I remember when I was researching these lift supports for my car a few months back they listed one with and one without the wiper.

Well, I have louvers and a Foha wing. Is there another option for a stronger support? Or am I stuck with these two choices?

    Thanks!

not really, with mine I ended up purchasing the prop rod that attached to the lift support that you can purchase at an auto parts store who sells the lift supports. make sure you get two, one will work but it will be safer with two depending on how much weight your hatch is.

I find my hatch supports work great in warm weather (with louvers), but don't work all that well in the fall due to cooler, compressed air...that's when I carry a golf club to prop it up.

I got my lift support from Mr Lou http://www.autopartsbylou.com/lift-s...=mmy&x=27&y=12 for hatch with spoiler, part number 10211. Not sure if this is the same as what you looked into, but these things are strong, so strong that they push the hatch up when you start lifting up the hatch. So they should work even if you have more weight that I do. FYI, I have the shadow aluminum/metal louver on the hatch.

^^^^ What he said. Mr. Lou will set you up with the right struts at a very nice price. I bought them early in the summer and they lift like crazy. Do not settle for anything else.

Never knew about Mr. Lou, good to know. Does he also have some for the hood?

Does anyone know if the hood or hatch lift supports are still available from Toyota?
