    Newbie from the bay area

Hello all, I am from the Bay Area, I am new to the forum and to the supra world as well. Just acquired a 1983 supra L-type recently.

there are actually cracks along the vents next to the glass, and the overall condition is just fair, but for $1000 for such mileage and one owner car, i think its good deal.

im from the Bay area too...i recently bought a 83 Supra p-type...yours is in much better condition cosmetics wise and mileage i got mine for 1500 with 115k on it...you got a true gem bro...with only one owner...mine had 3 owners well if you count the 2nd owner's son as the third but yeah...but you have a p-type which in all cases would be better than the l-type unless your not really into modifying..

Ya I have the cracked vents as well. Check out my thread for ideas. I am working on getting new seats as mine are really faded, kinda bad colour for fading. But nice if kept in good shape.
Anyways, really clean car you have there!

thank you all for your kind words.
supkar: what exactly is LMK for parts?

kai: i am confused, isn't my a L-type since it has no flares?

dragon: i will definitely check you your threads for ideas.

after 20 years of japanese nostalgic, my passion had diminished after i sold my MR2 ~5 years ago. Sitting at my friend's shop for few months after repair, the lady never came and pick it up and just want to sell it. MK2 was one of my favorite cars since little though never thought about getting one until i saw this. I was a little reluctant about buying it because i really dont need a second car, but the deal is just too good to pass. i am not sure if its just me, the MK2s for sale here from the east coast are so much cheaper compare to here even in good condition. in cali i can hardly find a good one for sale if i can find one at all.

    I also found a '83 here in the Bay Area. It's a P-type, yours is a L-type.
I picked it up for my daughter as a project and now I drive it all the time.

I noticed the antanee on yours is sitting part way up.
Is it stuck like that? Does it ever go up? Do you have a radio?

I asked because I've had the problem for years and I now know why.
I found my antanee was working fine, but the trouble was in the radio it's self.
A short or bad connection makes mine work and go up or down when it wants.
I just thought I'd throw that in for you.
    Nice car, I like it.

And like supkar, LMK (Let Me Know) if you need any parts.
    I have a bunch left.
