Sorry, you must have perfect English approved by the Queen herself to join this forum. :-) Just kidding, we put up with statements like: wazzup i'm gonna see my homie bout dis ride it da shizzle.
It's hard finding a really nice MK2 without spending a lot of cash. There has been a 5-speed 82 L type on Craig's List for a while in the NW Arkansas/SW Missouri area. He's down to $1800 and it looks pretty clean, including a cracked windshied and some sunroof problems (damn sunroofs). Its probably a pretty good deal, so I imagine if you look long enough you could find a decent car in the $2K range. The 82 is unique, as the wiring and engine management system is completely different from the latter years. I think that is a drawback if you wish to do performance mods, but it still wouldn't keep me from buying a nice one.
Welcome to the forum and good luck on your search.Last edited by 1SupraMk2; 07-28-2012 at 09:39 AM.

All things being equal, I would buy the one without the sunroof myself, pretty hard to find too.

2jzge ?? is that the 3 liter ? not planing on hotroding it out as of yet just thinking of the options with 222000 miles well you know the rest
my normal thinking is s.b.c big power for lil dollar but then it wouldnt be a yota after lookin at a few of the posts on here i mite try the 22r
one of the high points of the 82 is a $800 price tag and only 1 small dent in the fender drive it homeLast edited by zappaz; 07-29-2012 at 02:12 AM.
