What is this? Found Desk Toy.

Does anyone know anything about this desk toy? I found it in a Virginia thrift store. The only information is has stamped in the cast metel is "CelicaXX". Is it a toy or promational piece from Europe or Asia? It is of a 1982 or 1983 Mk2. Looks like it may have had a roof peice at one time. Curious if anyone has ever came across one of these.

It's a "business" type desk accessory.

It's designed to hold a pack of cigarettes. The top lifts of so you can get to them. I believe they were promotional items at one time - I saw a 2000GT version in a Toyota saleman's office a few years back.

I've got both a MkI and a MkII version.

I'll load some photos of both later today.

We've got some old Nissan ones kicking around the office here, 280Z and 300ZX if I recall... Might have to find where they got to.

Thanks Kdsii. Now I can say what it really is. I have been using mine as key valet on my desk.

These are sweet... I have a pewter Porsche 928 model that looks very similar to this.
