It has a shitload of aftermarket support, whereas the mk2 celica supra has almost none. It's lighter than a mk2 celica supra. The mk2 supra is very front heavy and it spins out more easily than an s13. If I remember correctly S13 is also easier to drift because it has more steering angle. Also, if you total your car drifting, it's only an s13. lol Celica supras are too rare to be risking totaling them. Personally, I'd like to someday drift my mk2 supra, but before I do that, I'll get an s13 and get tons of practice until I become confident I won't crash while drifting.

Older model, has early KA-24E...won't really matter if you plan to swap in an SR. Good car to drive the piss out of, and when that KA blows up, grap an SR and a plug and play swap harness and have some fun.
Celica supra for a serious drift car? Not practical....minimal aftermarket support, what's out there is expensive, motor swaps are more expensive etc...now for a weekend fun drift car ya slap some coils and sway bars on and replace some bushings and have at it.
I was planning on using my mkii as a drift car...which I still plan on doing (I like being different even if it cost more/more work), but unless you plan on diving head first in I wouldn't advice it. Between a 7mgte, coilovers, sway bars, strut bars, brakes, camber mods, full bushing kit, diff rebuild (stock won't last long depending on shape) and other misc. stuff the price adds up, and so does time/work.
