    Trouble installing firmware DIY PNP

Hey guys, I dropped my freshly rebuilt 5m back in the 85 last week and test ran it briefly on the factory ECU just to make sure everything is happy. (ran great once the fuel lines primed). So now im onto the next step which is getting it running on the DIY PNP n52 ecu that i built last winter. I tried to load the firmware and im pretty sure the bootloader stage completed successfully but the next step did not, after i pulled the boot jumper. the stage initializes and thinks about it for a few seconds then says error, timed out! I have run port check and verified COM3 is the port im using. I have gone to my device manager and verified that the serial-USB adapter is working properly and operating on COM3. I would classify myself as computer literate but this is either over my head or I'm missing something simple. I hope im being descriptive enough of my problem. Did anybody else have any trouble loading the firmware? as always, any input would be greatly appreciated!

    From reading, http://www.msextra.com/doc/ms2extra/...dio_setup.html

...if the ECU is not automatically detected then instead tick "Other" and click on the three dots to find an "ini" file. This file is found in the same folder that you extracted the firmware and where you ran the download-MS2-firmware.
Hope you get it running, also considering same, plz post results...GLWT

okay so I'm an idiot... i forgot to jumper the ignition switch (A13) to the main EFI relay (A21) so my ecu wasnt actually powering up when i turned the ignition key. soldered a jumper into my adapter board and plugged the ecu back into the car. firmware loaded right up and tunerstudio recognized it as ms v3.2.1. port check also verified the firmware so i think im ready to try running it!
