    HPF jaws driveshaft?

i have been looking for a 1 piece driveshaft to replace my stock one and i found one from horespower freaks which seems cheaper then the ones from both rabidchimp and driftmotion. has anyone ever used it? you can order it with the stock sized u joints for a bolt in fitment and the steal one weighs in a 17lbs. any thoughts?

I have the aluminum 3" DS from DM and its fits perfect. Its also holding the power my JZ is putting out. Id recommend you get one from them, they support our forum, our supras and their customer service is rockstar! Besides they know what fits and what doesnt..HPF may not, im just saying...good luck with your decision.

I also have a 3' aluminum DM one piece driveshaft, works great and fits perfect. The HPF unit seems only cheaper than DM because of the stock size u-joints it comes with. The DM steel one-piece has the larger u-joints (like what HPF offers as option), thus costs a bit more. I notice you probably are making good power from your motor, so maybe a good idea to get the larger u-joints, and corresponding larger companion flange for the diff. All the bolts for the 3" drive shaft flanges are larger than the stock bolts/nuts, so everything is a bit stronger. If you are looking seriously at stock u-joint sizes and steel driveshafts, why not stay with a stock driveshaft?

The JAWS shaft from HorsePowerFreaks is a lot cheaper, because you're looking at the steel version. Their aluminum version is more expensive than what I offer.

i wanted to go with the steel one just because of the price and because i have heard that aluminum driveshafts arnt rated for much more then 90mph. and i didnt want to have to replace the flange on my diff

I have never heard that AL shafts aren't rated for more than 90 mph. That seems silly! I understand about not wanting to replace the flange on your diff. The one piece steel makes it easy...but you'll still have to drop the diff to fit the one piece shaft.
