Go here:
http://www.celicasupra.com/forums/memberlist.php
On the right side click "Search Members" then click "Advanced Search". Under "Location:" type a location and click "Search Now". Spelling matters. Some people put "CA" for California and some people put "Cali".

The member list is kinda a pain in the ass. Should be a way to search by zip code.

The drawback is that people can type anything in their location. The metropolitan area where I live has something like 80 suburbs and some people type in shorthand like DFW. It can be done, but you have to imagine all the possibilities and try searching on all of them. And people who typed in something stupid you have to assume they don't want to be invited or included.

Sometimes people are hesitant to post their location...
...that's why I'd suggest starting a thread called "FREE BEER in (Your City, State)"
That'll get the people posting...

This is why I'm sarcastic on occasion in the Introduce Yourself section - oh, wow, you are from the USA, like 70% of the other members, bet that makes you feel special (as opposed to the 20% Canucks, 10% rest of the world).
Not picking on a new guy whose location is "Vernon." Google shows me a dozen Vernon's around the world. Only because I know the BC interior did the Okanagon (OK, 2 spellings) town even come to mind. At least it wasn't Springfield, USA (in ~ 48 states)
Next, the software is not under the control of Mike Malloy (owner of this forum). Most forums use this software, be it cars or knitting. He can't force all of us to list our location in North American postal codes (zip codes), particularly if we're in Tashkent, Uzbeckistan (what no zip code, that is un-American, indeed).84P - Primer (faded Lt Blue Metallic) - bought March 5, 1984
