    AISIN brand Clutch Master and Slave Cylinders, worth the price?

    So, my Clutch Slave cylinder went out, and I'm looking to replace the whole set. I looked on Auto parts warehouse, as I've bought stuff from them before, and I see they've got AISIN clutch Master and Slave Cylinders for about $90 total, last I checked shipping was free. Any recommendations?

    Go with it. AISAN is an oem manufacture from what I understand. I went to autozone for mine and replace it about every 3-4 months.

    Cool, looks like I'm getting some AISIN's. Now, the blue one is the one for the Supra, right?

    I'd say AISIN brand is worth it. I heard the only difference between an AISIN part and Toyota part is the box they come in. AISIN part will come in an AISIN box and the Toyota part will come in a Toyota box. I bought a Toyota clutch master cylinder and I think it was even stamped AISIN on it. I've heard sometimes when you order an aftermarket part it is exactly like the OEM manufacturer part except they grind the letters/logo off. Like on the clutch master cylinder or clutch slave cylinder there is a round area where you can clearly tell somethings been grinded off.

    I'd recommend buying from RockAuto.com instead. If you want to buy both for under $20 you can look in the wholesale closeout section. And also Google search for 5% off discount code. If you want to save even more money, just buy a rebuild kit instead.
    RockAuto Catalog Wholesale Closeout Part Listings : 1985 TOYOTA CELICA 2.8L L6 DOHC

    RockAuto also has both parts from AISIN for under $50. You can spend a little more and get Toyota if you want though, that's what I did. If you want Toyota get it from Mark at Vancouver Toyota in the Vendor Section. Also you can order the gasket for the clutch master cylinder from Toyota if you want, it goes between the clutch master cylinder and firewall. It's a very thin almost like paper material, I don't think its really needed but I ordered one anyways.

    Make sure you get the correct clutch master cylinder. I think the 1982-1983 had the ones with 1 stud, 1 nut, and 1 bolt, and the 1984-1986 had the ones with 2 studs and 2 nuts. Not exactly sure on the years but I do remember some clutch master cylinders come with 1 stud and some with 2 studs.

    About the blue color, most of those auto parts websites just use generic pictures. RockAuto shows a black colored one for the clutch slave cylinder. My clutch slave cylinder from Toyota was a bright pink color and the clutch master cylinder from Toyota was a regular silver/grey color.

    I put AISIN parts in mine. I figured the OEM pieces I replaced lasted this long might as well grab them again.

    Well, APW has two AISIN slave cylinders, the blue one, which is listed for
    1982-1986: Supra; All Engines;
    and this unpainted one, listed for
    1984-1985: All Submodels; All Engines
    . The only difference I can see from the pictures is the location of the bleeder.

    Thats what I meant by the blue one. :P

    Actually, I think they're probably both the same. :V

    I'll check Rockauto, but I'll probably go with the blue one, because racecar.
