    Cheapskate MA61 restoration

This is my MA61 project car.
I bought it in very dirty and unloved condition, but it was at least complete and no accident damage.
It is an Australian-spec MA61 Celica Supra with a 5M-E single cam engine and 4-speed auto.
It has an aftermarket electric sunroof (which no longer opens) and the factory digital dash.
I repaired the rust and a few dents myself and had the car resprayed at the paint shop next-door to my shop.
Right now I'm still waiting for the bumpers and a few other bits to get sprayed so I can put it back together again. Haven't decided what to do with the engine yet, but as it has done 270,000km and is pretty smokey I have to do something
I have a non-turbo VVTi 1JZ engine sitting in my shop, which would be a big improvement over the old 5M-E, but I may go for something more interesting. I also have a 1GZ-FE 5-litre V12 at my disposal...

The paint cost a bit over $2k with me doing most of the prep. That's twice what I paid for the car
