Help please: 7MGTE Power Steering Reservoir Ideas
hello,
i am wondering what forum members have used for their power steering reservoirs for their 7mgte swaps?(outside of using a stock reservoir of course) i have looked to see if there is another toyota model that has a similar type but havent had any luck. i cant even find a refurbed reservoir for a 7mge on rockauto.com
any and all ideas are appreciated. of course i know i can go to a junkyard but with an engine bay that has been cleaned up nicely i dont want to put a rough looking reservoir in it.
thanks in advance folks!
mike

I just used one from a NA 7M MkIII Supra mounted on the shock tower, ran new hoses. Picked a good one from a junkyard for like $3.

I used one from a 98 Corolla. Mounted to the passenger strut tower.
Mine is a 7MGE swap though.Joe B.

You could use a stock one and mount it up front like I did, look in front of the core support (I still have A/C and a larger than stock front mount, it all fits):

Then when you pull the motor you just unbolt two bolts, use a wire to hold it up, and there's no mess:

Here's the same concept on my brother's mkIII:

Good suggestion guys but if i know Mike, thats not his style. The fac
tory NA MK3 one is nice if you can find a factory fresh one..otherwise they look like ass.
When i was 7m i put.mine down near the passenger headlight in the engine bay under my airfilter with the factory 5m reservoir. That way it was hidden out of sight..i just made extended lines..just make sure it can drain down hill the whole.time..otherwise u may burn up you pump.
This is a nice alternative...search around online or have a custome one made.
