Will's 2012/2013 winter 7mgte build and suspension tuning

So last week (begining of Sept) I blew up my stock ct26 on my car so I decided to retire her for the rest of this season and decided to begin my "winter" build now and get a head start so when spring pops up so will I

One major thing that killed me the last autocross was my suspension setup. I made a couple decisions on what im going to do here for struts. Im going to level out my car and corner balance it to help with handling and what not. Going to mess with alignment too and see how much toe I like and camber to help with cornering also.

Big part of my winter build is the motor....... I have big plans for her this winter! First thing im doing which I'm going to try and start tomorrow (9/11) is start pulling my motor apart. Chevy 350 valve springs, grind the valves, check guides, and deck the head and block to prep for MHG. 57 trip ct27 from driftmotion.com and to top it all of I think im getting JE pistons with the FRS option . Should be a fun build this winter and I know I will be happy with the results!

I put a pause on the tear down because I think I might be moving in the next month or 2 :/ But expect lots of parts to be ordered and still lots of updates! First thing I need to do is find a good machine shop to get all the pitting out of my head! haha but more to come soon!

Little update, I was using my supra for my DD and I thought my turbo blew up. It had really bad shaft play and when I started hearing a little weird sound I thought it was just the fins of the turbo scraping the sides of the turbo... piss.... one day on my lunch break I was barely boosting over a pretty steep bridge and I had a little poof of smoke and some pretty horrid slapping noise. Instantly turned it off and coasted down the other side and luckily my work is at the bottom of the hill so I just coasted into the parking lot. I was convinced it was my turbo because of the horrid shaft play and the little poof of smoke I thought was a seal finally going.

I took off my accordian pipe and the ct's intake side looked fine, I was so excited because my intercooler is fine that means no chunkies!!! Parts of the turbo getting shot out the exhaust isnt that big of a deal because I dont have a cat or anything so I will just unbolt and clean. So I was unbolting my exhaust and I grabbed it just to see how gnarly she was and it was fine... so I started the motor and grabbed the impeller and all I heard was knocking noises So threw a rod in my 7m but it isnt the end of the world because all the damage it did I was planning on fixing anyways upon rebuilding.

Currently Im finishing up my new place right now which entails painting flooring and plumbing. I plan on moving in before the new year. Then I will tow my car from my work parking lot and let the build begin!

New ideas for my build for the motor is im just going to do crank main's and connecing rod bearings, new rings, all new seals, bc 1mm over valves, still the chevy 350 valve springs, and bc cams. I decided to tone down my build a little bit and not do the je pistions quite yet because I have had this car for 4 years and 11k into her and have only been able to drive her for 4 months this year haha. Those things and also my suspension should be easily completed by time the snow melts!
