Oxygen sensor/s how many? How to replace?
How many oxygen sensors does my Supra have 1984.
Is it just the one by the exhaust manifold?
I see a thick needle like thing sticking out, with a wire BUT....... that wire isn't connected to anything -____-
would that explain my 12 - 13mpg?
Do you guys recommend any specific o2 sensor brands? Car is stock, with no mods and no intentions of anything other than keeping it running strong, and maybe a CAI & exhaust.
How to replace?
Any stickies with pics on this or something? Or is it a basic screw in, screw out?
Thanks a lot
Check it out, been driving a year like this

Any single wire o2 will work. Ya, that wire is broken. I think you'll find the other end closer to the passenger headlight direction. Make sure you have the plug end for the sensor. Sometimes when you buy it, it won't have the plug end on it.

Just the one sensor. Go with a bosch or NTK. Get the engine hot by running it for 10 mins. Then slip a socket over the old sensor and turn that bitch out.

It's just a single wire sensor as said before. Just cut away the old wire from the sensor and splice in a new wire. Or just get a new sensor they are cheap enough.Cover it with a heat resistance tape/sheath.

The old one had the connector fall off his old sensor. But the plug comes from the harness that is on the passenger side of the engine bay. Look for it near the frame rail, look for wires hanging. Probably closer to the headlight. Also it is a two bolt flange, the studs won't likely strip or snap, but having it hot will help I'm sure.

I thought on the Supra it is held in by two bolts, not a screw in type. Am I missing something? Mine is an '82 if that matters. I have a new one that needs to go in soon.
