    starter wiring help

ok I just rebuilt the top end of my engine (5m) and while I had the head and all the other shit out of the way I decided to clean the block and fire wall up a good bit. So I pulled the starter to clean it up a bit and re-installed it. Now every things back on the engine, just needs coolant and she's ready to rock......except that when I went to hook up the battery so I could pressurize the fuel rail to look for leaks it just started sparking like crazy. So that leads me to believe that the positive lead to the starter is on wrong and is contacting the starter body. I looked for pictures to try and point me in the right direction but as fate would have it the pics in the VFAQ write up are no longer there.

Sorry for running on there, just wanted to explain the scenario, I'm wondering if anyone could post a pic or link that shows how the wires are connected to the starter?

There is a larger Eyelet and a single pin plug. Unhook the eyelet from the starter and see if it sparks. Probably best to have someone hold the eyelet so it doesn't hit something else.
