stevota
Hi guys, from what I've read so far it seems there is some repetition here and I don't wanna be that guy but I am trying to find side moldings for an '84. I'm in Halifax Nova Scotia and there is nowhere around here even interested in helping. Please let me know if there is somewhere I can buy these and if "side moldings" is the correct description. I mean the body trim that runs the length of the car mid-door.

I believe our vendor George/Raptor Racing is looking into getting them reproduced in the future, as a roll that you cut and stick on. He's in Canada, so that will help keep the shipping cost down for you.
You can still buy some of the pieces brand new through our OEM vendor Mark at Vancouver Toyota (Washington), but pricey as OEM often is.
Sometimes you can find used trim for sale here in the classifieds from someone stripping a car or selling off extra.
If you go to the junkyard a lot, sometimes you can get lucky finding similar trim from another Toyota. I've found the 87-89 Celicas (front wheel drive) use the same width/profile trim and also sticks on. The 89 stuff is whitePVC that is painted, so it can be repainted black after cutting to length. The door trim of those Celicas is exactly the same length as our Supras! You can gather enough to cut to length and do the whole car, if you have a P type with the flares to hide the cut ends.
We have another member here from Halifax also, '82 Supra, so maybe you'll bump into him sometime. Welcome!

Hey stevota, you've come to the right place...welcome to the forum!
+1 on Mark or George for OEM and aftermarket parts
, not many MkII's left to pick from around these parts, and those that you might find usually need work. Are yours missing or complete toast? If not, you might try restoring them http://www.celicasupra.com/forums/sh...ing&highlight=

What the --?? I can't edit my previous post! That sucks.
Anyway, the 87-89 Celica trim is NOT the same profile, but it is similar, the right width, and if you collect enough to do a whole car with it no one will be the wiser. It is also stick on, so no metal inside to rust. It doesn't have the beveled edge like the factory trim did, so a little carving (minimal) is needed to fit it under the flares.
