Parting out Mk1 1979 Celica Supra 4ME Brown
Don't worry this isnt my daily driver just a car I bought to quickly rip off some needed parts. The Supra on the hauler is the car I am parting out I live near Salt Lake Utah Car was made in March
If you need anything let me know. This car does have a sunroof the part that shows is rust free but there is some here and there I don't know what is considered to much rust for these as this is the first sunroof that I have seen in person and the second Mk1 I have ever seen and for fortunate reasons I own both those cars for now.

I'm intertested in the sunroof! Pictures of it would be nice when you get a chance too. So keep me at the top of your list for it!

Yeah you will be number one, I didn't realize this had a sun roof til about 3/4 done with the return trip from Idaho. I was thinking to myself that I was really lucky. The surface looks really good with no rust, but I will get you pictures so you can know exactly what you are getting.
@3ne2nr Hey I will pull that Manifold for you and let you know a shipping cost. Let me know what you think a fair price is , I am not here to rip anyone off.

Hey Josh here is some photos I managed to get. If you need better photos of the rust let me know. I should be able to get them later tonight.
The Panel that the world will see is rust free, but the pictures will show some under rust.

Ok the driver seat is terrible both had seat covers on them. The passenger seat on the other hand seems to be in great condition for the age. I bet a with some work it would clean up nicely or something like a carpet cleaner. I think I will use one of the seats while I get my seats reupholstered in the next few months as my 79 is my daily. If anyone want to buy one or both of the seats I am sure we can work something out.

Those seats look to have been re-covered a time ago.
I have two '79s myself.
I got a hardtop as my "turdpra".
It needs alot of work. But compared to yours, mine is junk.
But to me, there is no junk Supra (Mk1 or Mk2), just extra parts if the rust is bad.

There are a few things you should save for yourself.
When you're through with her, let me know. Don't toss anything. (-;

Hey Kyle,
Thanks for the pictures, I am concerned about pictures 2 and 3. If you could get some clear shots of the rusty areas that would be great. Is more than just surface rust?'80 Celica Supra 5 spd Metalic Red

@SupraDad Yeah if you need anything now is the time to let me know. I live in an area that if your vehicle does not run you have to have it in a garage out of site. So I will have this car gone tomorrow, I have taken the whole inside out (all the parts worth keeping) and I have put them in boxes. I mainly bought the car for the front bumper, passenger lock, armrest, some other things and maybe the Driver side fender. I'm taking off the rear end tomorrow as I have a buyer for that. So yeah if you need anything let me know and Ill pull it for you if I already haven't.
@Josh I took a screw driver to it and in some places it has rusted completely through its located on the part that never sees the sun, but water must of worked its way back there. There is some screws that hold the piece on when i get a chance I will investigate, but for right now I am just tearing as many parts of this supra before its taken to the scrap yard.
Here is some more pictures to give you an idea before and after I broke out the rust.
Yeah that's nasty hopefully when I get a chance I can see what extent the damage is.
These other two pictures are when the rust is where it can be seen as you would look up when you where driving and see it.
The rust is just bubbling, so I would guess just surface rust.
Yeah I feel a bit bad at sending this one to a bone yard, but the last owners did a number on this car. Gum Wrapper fuses just makes me wonder?
Well thanks again everyone I this is a great website and if anyone wants to shoot me a reminder to pull some parts before 3:30 Pm Mtn Time Ill get those yanked off.

I appreciate the time you have spent on this but I really looking for one with no rust. The one I have now is similar to yours, as for the crank, chrome deflector and bits they are harder to come by. I might be interested in them!
