I went and saw this car several months ago and it is the real deal.
The bad:
There are several cosmetic issues that require attention to make it perfect, but they are relatively minor.
The cam covers require repainting. The underhood insulator was attacked by rampaging squirrels, and has been replaced by a non-stock insulator. The clear coat on the wheels is lifting exactly like it is on my relatively low mileage 1984. There is a very minor dent on the roof that the owner says he is too embarassed to say how it happened! The rear sun shade has the paint degrading like the original paint tended to do.
The differential and other under car drive train components have cosmetic rust.
The good:
The owner is not exaggerating. The car was Ziebarted when it was brand new and there is NO body rust. I lifted off the rear seat arm rests and the rocker panels are Ziebarted and immaculate.
The interior is absolutely clean. The stearing wheel leather is in perfect shape. The air conditioning blows cold.
The owner stores the car with gas stabilizer in a full tank. The engine fires right up and is very stable.
The paint is definitely original.
The photo of the engine compartment shows discoloration around the edges, but this is the Ziebart rust-proofing, it is not dirt or corrosion.
The owner is the kind of driver who does maintenance correctly and would not drive the car in a way that would harm it.
I was looking for a car with a sun roof and leather so I passed on it, but this car is one that someone who wants an absolutely stock low mileage original should seriously look at. He doesn't need to sell the car so I don't think that he will drop a lot. I ended up trying to tell him he should keep the car. It is really so nice.
And I am not associated him in any way. He was a real gentleman to deal with so I would love to see this car go to a good owner.

IMO that car should bring over $10k, kind of depends on how bad that roof dent is though. I wonder how much routine maintenance has been done on the car with OEM parts. It sould be a shame to give a car like that the Rock Auto special.

The dent on the roof is very minor.
And I am quite certain that this owner used Toyota parts. He is very meticulous.Black 1983 P Type 5 Spd, Cloth Interior, BBK,HRE 17" Wheels, HKS Exhaust
