NAPA front and rear brake pads DONT FIT :l

So guys and girls after my master cyilnder went out I decieded to do a brake job since I had not done one since I owned my cs.
After I almost went through a wall at our local post office when I pressed the brakes and the peddle went straight to the floor. I had to hurry and put my car into park, at about this time it had jumped up onto the side walk of the post office and was 5-6 feet from the wall when it stopped. I got out afterwards and checked my rims and under the front of the car and everything was fine.
So like I was saying I ordered my parts that day and got them a few days later. The pads I got front and rear are not the same shape as the ones I got from napa. After waiting and paying over $200 "Rotors resurfaced, New master cylnder, they gave me the wrong pads.

There part numbers are "FRONT ts-7118-m" "REAR ts-7119". I looked on the net and these part numbers dont even line up with fitting on the car.

Can someone tell me where can I get decent brake pads? Maybe from one of our dealers? Which would you suggest?

Thanks guys, I really want my car back :'l

I did bleed it, I changed the master clynder and it was leaking, so I guess losing pressure and leaking down out of the back of the master cylnder. My brakes have always been a little soft and spongey... So its my fault I didnt look into the problem sooner.

so you blew over the curb with the new master cylinder?

sounds to me like something is wrong with the master cylinder again (primary/secondary piston seals are completely screwed) or theres alot of air in it, all vehicles made after '67 have dual chamber master cylinders so if a seal or line goes, you will always have a set of brakes stopping you, be it the rear/front brakes or left/right side depending on design.

if theres no air in both systems, the pedal should never go to the floor, if you lose vacuum via the brake booster (say the engine stops), you will have at least 3 full stops from stored vacuum. i had that happen in my '79, engine quit suddenly but i was able to coast into a park and stop fine

sounds to me like theres alot of air in the master cylinder and the primary and secondary pistons in the master cylinder cant build up any pressure to apply the brakes

the design usaully goes 60% front 40% rear, never seen a design that works left to right. that can cause an accident, especially if one side goes out your car will pull to the other.

some vehicles have a cross system, you'll either have the left front and right rear or right front and left rear brakes. its not really a popular design anymore i dont think

Why all that money for stock brakes? Could at least do the Cressida brake swap for that money, or do the Q45/MPV setup if you plan to turbo later. Anyway, any parts store should be able to get front pads. Look them up online first, see if they have them in stock, and go pick them up. Napa is usually expensive for the same part somewhere else, but sometimes they have the only part that truly fits correctly. Just wish you could search their stores online like you can with the zone, Advance and O'Reilly.
