I know this is a MKIII...
...but I'm considering buying this black beauty. I'm not as familiar with the MKIIIs and would appreciate any input as to what possible issues I should be looking for with this car. I realize things such as belts and hoses should probably be replaced by now if they haven't already. What other questions should I be asking and what potential issues should I be looking for? Thanks for any help anybody can provide!

wow!!!! 13k for a mklll!!!!
way to much in my opinion- you can scan craigslist for a while and find nice ones with higher miles for about six to eight K.
Also the MKlll was VERY notorious for blow head gaskets-so check if the head had been re-gasket-ed or re-torqued.
I don't think the seller actually wants to sell that car, maybe he just put it in there to make his/her spouse happy?Did you know large American corporations ( Including our Industrial Military Complex) spend more on political contributions than what they pay in taxes? That's called bribery in the private sector-why do we allow our politicians to be paid off so company's can do whatever they want without regard to right or wrong?
Wake up America!

I agree about the price and already confirmed that it isn't firm or I would've already lost interest. It is very rare to find one of these in such nice condition though (black paint and 5 speed is a plus too) and it's cool that this was one of the very last ones to be produced. The car is at a dealership (was a one owner trade in so it's definitely for sale). Thanks for the tip about the head gasket...I almost forgot about that!

Very nice looking car. I was looking at one and the guy said he had issues with the rear diff. Just an idea.

13k is a retarded price. 8k would be high.....
you could swap a 2jzgte with a V161 into a Clean Clean CLEANNNNNNNN MK-II for that kind of cash. with a trutrack and a standalone. AND a motorcycle for when it breaks down....
just my
though.
The Supra is gone... What a fun project!

Buy that one, drive it for 30-40k miles, headgasket pops, then you are stuck sending mega $$$$.

Or buy this one, already has lower end, and top end work done. No worries about having engine failure, and 500 horses instead of 276.82 L Type

See how much they'll come down in price. $13K is a little steep. If you could snag it for around 11, I'd say get it. Black on grey 92's don't come up for sale all that often. First one I've seen actually. Sharp car.
