    5mge still rough idle

    Two days ago my 5mge engine Supra will idling rough to where the rpm will drop then go back up so i did research and lots of people say it was the idle air control valve so I took it off and clean it. That night it was good i was able to drive it around but before when the car warm up i wasnt able to drive because the rough idle got before i was gonna drive. Yersterday night i started up the car was burning rich it smell like gas but the car wasnt idling rough , but my dad said the maybe spark plugs arent good, but two months i replace it with six new ngk iridium. Today afternoon i was driving it around and it was driving good till 2 o'clock. I was driving to pick up my brother from school and then it just suddenly die while driving I started it up, on my way home the rough idle came back. On my way home i was in fouth gear and was at 2000 rpm, i step on the gas pedal all the way down and i was still at 2000 rpm, the rpm and the speed was like stuck, the car loose power it just bog there for like 5 second the suddenly it pick up speed. I dont even know what was the problem this crap is stressing me out...... Hope U guys/ladies could help me out...

    Im having a similer problem but mine kinda sputters and jerks when i loose rpms. but other than that its almost the exact same problem. of you find anything keeo me posted on how you fixed it.

    grab an ohmeter and test the AFM then your tps.

    Check your distribator cap for micro cracks.
    Look inside the cap for spider web like lines from contact to contact.
    Moisture gets in the cracks and makes it fire on all the cylinders at the same time.
    No power. It will idle better than drive.

    I'm having similar issue ,but my car wont rev over 4500 rpm on neautral... i changed the air flow meter,sprak plugs,gas filter but yet no luck...

    Mechanic and I had mine up in the air while it was idling... Thinks its a exhaust collector gasket. Idles rough and exhaust is loud from that area. May have solved my issue but it will have to wait till spring

    what about checking codes on my 85 supra i cant even check codes. i did wat they said jump to connectors and no codes... wats the problem
