    Finally a Supra owner

Hey everyone, after wanting a MKII for the better part of 20 years I finally got a rather clean example (even if it is slightly disassembled. lol). Just bought an '83 auto with 87,xxx original miles. I'm not thrilled about the automatic, but in NE Ohio beggars can't be choosers with MKII's that aren't rotted out. I hope to get her driving for next summer and then contemplate some manner of engine and trans swap for the following summer. Not only is this my first Supra it's also my first Toyota.

Nice work. I see your painting the trim? Same thing I did... just tape it off... scuff and spray.
Hope to see more of the car!

Nice, a black 83 P-type automatic with the black cloth interior! It's just like my first Supra (and I still miss it). Welcome!

As far as painting trim, you have to strip off the plastic coating first. Then scuff, then use an etching primer first or the paint will peel right off.
