WTB 92 -96 Camry Rear Bumper Re-inforcement Bar...

Hi guys,

The one Supra that was my "Winter Car" developed a severe knock in the Engine.

So I parked it and will be turning that into a Turbo since I gotta take the engine out anyway.

Anyway, I have 3 Supras that have never seen a Cdn winter...& I want to keep it that way...and only have one at my place as a "back-up" for the "new" Winter car.

I'm certifying a 93 Camry as the Winter car/DD.... however, a common thing that goes on these is the actual metal Re-inforcement bar for the Rear Bumper.

If anyone in the T.O./Southern comes across a good one that isn't rotted out, please let me know...as it save me from ever having a Supra on the road during the winter...(So I hope this post is OK with the Mods....Indirectly....it's for the "Save the Supra Foundation"... LOL.

I found ONE at a wreckers...and after they pulled the cap...they said it was pretty bad...I had them pull the bar off anyway, thinking I might be able to weld it up somehow....but it's waaay too far gone. If worst comes to worst I might have to adapt/custom Fab a Supra bumper bar to fit...but that's a lotta time/work.

So just thought I'd put that out there in case someone out there could help me out.

Already signed up on a Camry site, but there seems to be very little activity there....nothing at all like this site ...which is AWESOME...

Why not have one shipped out of a wrecking yard on the west coast? Rust is pretty much non-existent on cars here. www.car-part.com

Shipping from the US is kinda ridiculous, not only due to the weight, but the fact that it is "Oversize".

However, thanks for the suggestion as I can check out Vancouver wrecking yards....and, since I'd be shipping within Canada....it can go Bus Parcel Express....which is a LOT cheaper...

So 'preciate the suggestion & I'll try Vancouver first... Don't see why there shouldn't be some good ones out there.... If not somehow...then I'll try Cali.

Did check out some Vancouver yards... and one wanted $300 PLUS shipping for a USED Bumper Bar!! Hate to think of what the dealer price would be on an OEM new one.....

Ended up finding a Re-manufactured one (but still essentially new) for $50. in T.O. BIG DIFFERENCE, lol

Anyway, Mods can delete this thread now as I'm good that way now...
