vandal broke out my driver side window on my 85. How hard is it to replace the..?
Hi folks,
Well, my 85p's driver side window was busted out last night by a vandal (possible thief; he didn't get anything), and he pushed my lock in and it fell into the door while he was trying to pick it.
oh well, this s**t happens, right? well it's never happened with one of my older cars. how hard is it going to be for my body man to find that replacement glass for the drivers door? as easy as finding my 02 Camry's glass...or is my Celica Supra just too old and im gonna have to find a used glass (probably from one of you good gentlemen..)
thanks for any information...I'm assuming this may have happened to one of you too with one of your Celica Supras (or another older car from 85 and back)
thanks again. and cheers!

i have a drivers side glass that is already out of the door. not sure what it is worth. Shipping would probably cost more than the glass is worth....

You need to take the inner door panel off.
Two bolts in the arm rest, pull of the top rail (your arm rests on it if you drive with your hand in the wind) and then pop off the clips. Then unscrew a few screws and pull window leftovers.
I saved all the glass from my parts cars for this exact reason =D-Taylor Nielsen|Contact Me!

i havent been in a MKII's door, but as long as you know how to remove the door panel it shouldnt be too hard. just a few screws and clips usually
easiest and cheapest would be get a new window from a junkyard car1979 MK1 Supra 5spd
