Well oreily has multipul brands, but they probably also have gates and beck and arnly. These two are reliable imo, but never buy the cheapest things you can find at an auto parts store unless you're sure its good. By orelus brand I meant their store brand (like duralast for autozone).

Yeah it seems that you get what you pay for most of the time from this stuff. Found that out with this alternator that went out within 3 weeks lol. I do have to say all of you were right, it was just air in the system. The driver side was on a small slanted hill so I jacked it up and turned the car on and had coolant flowing out of the spout on the heater core hoses, and is now circulating in the radiator. Thanks for all this information. I am in the process now of getting all these pesky air bubbles out... And of course I found another oil stream coming from the timing cover that has just sprung up. So that will be repaired again shortly.

There must be a hell of a lot of air... The coolant is circulating but while the top of the radiator is warm the rest is cold. The coolant really isn't bubbling too much unless I squeeze the radiator hose. The coolant will rise up and act as if theres about to just be a huge ass air bubble thats about to pop out and then stay at that spot for a while and then the engine feels like it's starting to get too warm and I have to shut it off.

i dont know what do you mean when you say is circulating, there is no physical way to see that thru the filler neck, if the top is warm and rest is cold that means is not circulating, i dont know why is so difficult for everybody to burp the system in the proper way, get a spill free funnel like this:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lisle-Spill-...&forceRpt=true

fill the system, start the car, let it warm up, turn on the heater fan and the temperature adjuster all way to hot, when you feel heat coming out of the vents means coolant is circulating, then bubbles should come out and you will be able to see that on the funnel, will bubble more before the thermostat opens, coolant should drop, fill system, when there is no more bubbles coming out , check "feel" both radiator hoses, they should be warm-hot.

the only car that "have to be" inclined or jack up the front are the pos cavaliers, stupid thermostat coolant design IMO,

With the radiator cap off I could look on the neck and see the coolant was barely moving a little just like how to tell if there was water flowing. It helped that I did have some little pieces of rust floating around the top too.
I started squeezing the lower radiator hose with the engine off and heard a squishing sound from the other side of the engine and realized the clamp on the new hose I bought wasn't sealed completely. It wasn't leaking but it seemed to be letting air in the whole time. I finally got this thing burped and there really was 1 hell of a bubble. Once this massive air bubble come out it took half a gallon of coolant to fill it back up. Now it is all working right thanks everyone. The USER needs to be reprogrammed in this car...

if the neck was on the top of the tank, i would say yes, u should be able to see it flowing, but our radiators have the extended filler neck inside the tank is braced with a half moon cooper tube, even if u have the cap off i will spill the coolant all over the place if the system is full, only see that happens on tractor trailer radiators but thats another story.

but good that u have it working properly.
