The infamous 'Parts
Closet' is becoming a legend. I sold my
blue car in 2000, in hopes of finding a mint black mk2. '84-'86
only, almost mint, not too many miles, not too far, and not too rusty.
Did I mention not too pricey? Well, here on the East Coast those qualifications
made it hard to find a car. I knew that 1 day I would get another
mk2, so I decided to stash parts. A lot of parts... details |

Greg Giacchi. He picked up a black '84 not too long after I sold
my blue car. He ended up fixing up the minor rust on the car and having
it repainted. Well, the car was beautiful. Pretty much, exactly what
I was looking for. Of
course, I liked this car so much I took a special trip (2 hour ride)
to Gregs house one weekend, just to fit my wheels on his black car.
Car was all stock, and we just threw the wheels on to see how it looked...details |

I finally get the car home. What a good feeling! Its even better,
now that I have a garage for it to sit it. I did not have this luxury
when I had my blue
car. So, what is 1st? A good detail of course...details |

I thought about using Zaino, which worked well on my old Trans
AM but I really wanted to find the ultimate deep shine using a
non synthetic finish...details |
