Here is a list of the parts I managed to collect over a year or so. Since I was probably going to find a mk2 on the East Coast, I ordered a rust free hatch from an AZ junkyard. It is hard to escape rust here in NJ. I have spent over $5k on a mk2, that I didnt have. My target mk2 will be around $4k or so. I'm not looking for a 30k mile show car, just a clean car that I will have no issues modding and beating on. Hrm, $5k in mods for a $4k car...not the smartest decision I guess. This would be just the beginning too.

Time is ticking, I'm getting antsy. Am I ever going to find a damn black mk2?
