Thanks, Phil. I just received the shipping notice on the dam kit, and when I go talk to the installers tomorrow, I'll ask about that.

And I ordered a 1992 Camry 80 Amp alternator, and a reman Denso starter. Shipping notices indicate they'll be here late next week.

    I should rephrase that....

    It's a Denso starter that's been remanufactured.

Got it on eBay for $172 free shipping.

Got all the rust off the wiper arms, and scrubbed the metal header panel. Checked my paint stock, and all I had was gloss! Oh, well, add satin black to the parts list.

And after spending several hours scrubbing and cleaning the plastic plenum grilles, they look like new!

The 100 degree weather here is due to break tonight, so I'll be able to spend more daylight hours in the garage. It only gets up to high 80's in the garage, but even with a fan blowing, I just can't work out there more than an hour.

I'm just not 25 any more!

    Cool Deal with the HEAT.

Satin black is OK,I prefer semi-flat black.

I stripped and painted my hood 4 years ago and the Krylon #9203 is the best rattle-can paint that I have ever used.
Wipers, windshield cowl and other parts get shot with it.
Primer and paint in one.No primer needed.Dries fast, good nozzles.

    O'Reilly's had it for $8.33

    VERY hot weather tip:
Soak your t shirt in HOT water, wring it out and put it on RIGHT AWAY.
It will keep you cool for an hour in the hottest weather. In 10 minutes, the hair on your arms will be standing up. It works that well.
    Just from the rapid evaporation.
I have used a tight-fitting sweat shirt the same way.
In a hot shop,we used to spray each other down with a fine mist, right out of the hose.
The extra water in the shop did raise the humidity a LOT.
In Las Vegas ,there are "misters" on the sidewalks. Feels good.
The extreme heat make me crazy and uncomfortable to work or play in.

The more that you sweat, the worse you are,as far as mosquitoes.
They are attracted to your smell and your CO 2.
Light colored clothes are best, out side.No black or blue at all.
If you wear a hat, white is better.

Yes, besides reflecting more sunlight, the sheriff will know you're one of the good guys.

In Texas, a white cowboy hat MAKES you one of the good guys.

When you get pulled over....HANDS ON THE WHEEL and don't move.
The sheriff has one hand on his firearm.
