Hello,

Photobucket.com has recently changed its terms of service for free users on their platform. As of June 20 images hosted by Photobucket and shared on our forum, or any other third party sites, will no longer appear. As a result, you may notice a higher amount of broken images on the forum.

If you do not have access to edit your older posts please contact an Administrator or Moderator for assistance. Please provide the new URL for the image that needs to be edited and a link to the thread the image in located in.

More information on the change and what it means for Photobucket users can be found below.

Thank you

Hey guys,

The instructions provided above is a temporary fix that we can offer at the moment to help restore your images until we have a more concrete solution soon. Moving forward, we highly recommend that you use the Attachments tool within your Settings and Gallery to host your images on our site here. We can always increase the storage space to better accommodate your pictures.

Taking a look at the current attachment manager, it shows the limit is set to 20,000 bytes or 0.02 MB. We'll up this to 8 MB for now.

-----------------

Furthermore, for Chrome users we came across an extension that will enable you to see the broken images hosted from PB. Another temp fix for now (who knows how long it'll hold up) but here it is -
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...bifiaedg?hl=en <- click on that link and do the following:

Add Ext > open the added ext at the top right corner of your browser "P" > select Manage Ext > tick off the box for both Allow in Cognito and Allow access to file URLs > refresh link of affected images to see they're visible again!

If you have further questions or concerns about any of this, please let us know - we're here to help you. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Cheers,
Natalie

EDIT

As predicted, the above link is now dead. Thanks to Suprafriend for providing this link and to ddd228 for providing this which seem to work.. for now

Sorry about the extension link - this is the one I meant to send : https://chrome.google.com/webstore/...k-fix/kegnjbncdcliihbemealioapbifiaedg?hl=enm

It should open up "Photobucket Hotlink Fix" ext. Let me know if that works for you guys!

As for the attachments to 'link' your previously attached images - you'll need to upload it via your attachments (paperclip icon) within the Go Advanced option. Once you've chosen your file and uploaded an image, it'll appear down in the 'attachments' section of the small window and you can then select Done. Then go back to the paperclip icon, a drop down menu will appear and you'll see your uploaded image there to select.

Next time, you want to use the same image - select Go Advanced and go to the paperclip/attachment tool (red arrow). The window that appears, you will see it in your File upload Manager - Home section (blue arrow) is where your attachments are. Then select the image you want to use again, and drag it down to the bottom where the Attachments section is (green arrow). Then select Done. See below:

^ Let me know if that works for you and/or if you need further assistance. If you running into any issues, please let us know what device/browser you are using. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Cheers,
Natalie :)

Apparently Photobucket actually thought they could make money from this crazy scheme, cause they are back tracking now that "everyone on the internet" is dumping them. They have a new pricing strategy for regular folks...

http://photobucket.com/p500/?hotlinkfix=1516740713536

They only want $100usd a year now for what they used to give away for free. I would imagine the horrible horrible spammy adds you have to put up with when using their site would disappear too if you actually paid them. Not horrendous, but, there are still good free options.

The photobucket image fix extension of choice is hard down right now, apparently they were inserting shady things into amazon url's as well...

If your internet works fine in an incognito window, try disabling this extension and you're good to go. Hopefully something better comes along soon.

Thanks,Gamble. I disabled that * extension * and I doubled my download speed. That Chrome fix clogged up my bandwidth.
I'm on Chrome now and I can get back into this site.
The administrators had me tagged as a different IP address and was locked out.
I was on Opera browser. I been having a LOT of trouble with that!!!
It thinks that I'm in Sweden. Gee.
Back on Google Chrome,again.

And PhotoBucket is back to their shenanigans of trying to squeeze money out of rocks. Their latest BS scheme is to allow Free accounts still, but to limit Bandwith to 25mbs per month or some utterly rediculous limit. Our PB pics still show up now, but they are all blurry. The Chrome PHotoBucket Hotlink Fix Extension is back and fixes it again. I'm running it, no issues so far, pics all work on the board...
