Thread: Rheostat bypass

Hello, i think i have a rheostat problem, i have installed a new digital dash and everything lights up until I start the engine or turn the lights on. I have measured according to the service repair manual and it doesn’t decrease from 9v to 0v, it increases from 9 to maximum (in my case 12,6v). Is there any way to bypass it?

Fixed. Connected the white/black cable behind the rheostat to the green cable and disconnected the others. Now the lighting is at max. Hope this helps another person with this problem
