    That will work,Dr.
    Good anti-theft idea.
    Where to put the switch?
Let the engine crank, but NO EFI function.

Another idea is to install a push to start momentary switch direct to the starter.Key OFF.
Not anti-theft,that way.Just a way to prime the engine with oil pressure B-4 starting.

My 5M with about 147k kms on it rattled a little from the front of the motor for about 5 to 10 seconds on start if it has been sitting for more than a few days. The PO had a massive probably 3 x the size MOPAR filter on it. l put the correct Toyota filter on and fresh oil and now the sound is pretty much gone, kinda you think you hear and its gone. The sticker in the window suggested the oil was 3k kms old and looked about that, i can appreciate how this is subjective, but if you have some top end noise on start, it may be worth changing filters before tearing into stuff.

Thanks for the eBay link, Dave.

I've been using WIX #51068 because I've always liked WIX, but hey, for five bucks each, free shipping, it'd be silly to pass this up!

I bought 2 of these for a remote cranking push button. Probably mount on the firewall. 19 mm hole and 2 wires.

It should come in handy when I replace timing belt or whatever.
Just to prime the engine for now. I HATE the rattle on start up.

I changed my mind. NO holes in the firewall. I mounted the button by the strut tower, instead. It's just to prime the engine with a little oil. About 5 seconds should do it.It may come in handy for other uses.

No,I didn't put an in-line fuse on the hot wire.
    Handy oil funnel!Screws right in.

Lots of attention to detail under that bonnet.

Clean, functional, and maintaining the original look. Niiiiice
