Whoa! You got one of the old CFX hoods! I had those made up back in something like 2002. There are less then 20 of them BTW, super rare! Not all of the 20 or so originally sold were carbon and or scooped either. These are way lighter then the Advan hoods, but do tend to bow a little at the outer corners at high speeds. I ended up adding some Aerocatch hood pins for mine to fully solve that problem. Check out my build thread for details if you want...

Is that a tried and tested swap? Those stubs look like they mount differently, can they be machined to fit our A arms?
ha ha, hand made dude. I do have the card board templates I used for them still though. I could possibly try scanning them. If you know the DPI they were scanned at and the dimentsions, you might be able to print them out in the same exact size. They took me really long time to cut out and shape and finish to that level btw.Black 86 mk2 Project Car

You asked about what I use to hold my hood up. Its a special colour coded plastic shaft with a threaded plastic end on it that fits nicely in the latch hole, and another end that fits nicely against the latch on the bottom. Its very light so I just keep it behind the front seats at all times and it doesn't really get in the way or cause any damage.
lol Thats all true, but its actually just a cheap grocery store broom handle with the sweeper threaded off. Something like this...Black 86 mk2 Project Car
