Hi guys So this will be my build thread!

1984 Toyota supra automatic, motor was locked up.
new motor to me 2jzgte vvti

change color on sparkplug cover




so its a start right

I took Valve covers and put them in the dish washer,,,make sure wife is not around :)

Cleaned the intake manifold pulled off tape

put some of it together


some small parts came in


that's it for now

Yes Sir, I'm happy to move forward, Just as I started to pull the motor, two more people came for work. finding time is getting harder and harder to find.

I'm just lucky to get to work on there cars

Whoa! You got one of the old CFX hoods! I had those made up back in something like 2002. There are less then 20 of them BTW, super rare! Not all of the 20 or so originally sold were carbon and or scooped either. These are way lighter then the Advan hoods, but do tend to bow a little at the outer corners at high speeds. I ended up adding some Aerocatch hood pins for mine to fully solve that problem. Check out my build thread for details if you want...

You asked about what I use to hold my hood up. Its a special colour coded plastic shaft with a threaded plastic end on it that fits nicely in the latch hole, and another end that fits nicely against the latch on the bottom. Its very light so I just keep it behind the front seats at all times and it doesn't really get in the way or cause any damage.

lol Thats all true, but its actually just a cheap grocery store broom handle with the sweeper threaded off. Something like this...
