    The hell is this for?

    Fun day, picked up an 84 for $500. Runs alright but someone has definitely hacked up the wiring. Found this in the dash, the hell is it?

    That's the light for the ashtray. IIRC, you have to remove the radio surround to route it to where it clips in on the passenger side of the ashtray slot.

    That is why there is a "window" on the right side of the ashtray!
