Greetings everyone,

After lurking on the outskirts of CS.com, toy mods mailing lists, facebook groups for the past 23 years of supra ownership figured it was time to introduce myself.

After owning 12 + mk2 and mk3s over the years, I'm still left suffering from MSS x 4. I've participated in many of the old school group buys, having a set of ROH 17" wheels and Jim King BBK new in boxes circa 2004.

My present 'fleet' consists of

1986 White Mk2 that I 7M-GTE swapped back in ~2004. This car hasn't seen use in the past 6 to 8 years and is hibernating. Normal upgrades for the day, poly bushings, Tokico blues/ST springs, LMJ strut bar, Addco sway bars, etc. Some old photos are linked below. I've owned this car for 22 years.

1984 White Mk2 previously owned by a member here and rebuilt ~10 years ago. Needs some attention as it spent sometime outside but still driveable and solid. Hoping to do a mild refresh on this and run the Targa Newfoundland tarmac rally next summer, the past owner put in a lot of effort on his build/restoration so I'd like to get this one all sorted out.

1984 White Mk2 that I picked up from a colleague (original owner) a few years ago, All original at ~135K miles. Stored during the winters, but did see rain thus needs the normal work you see in Eastern Canada: hatch, sunroof panel, etc. Reasonably solid but needs a complete mechanical refresh (bushings, brakes, seals, etc). Not sure what to do with this one, part of the sickness I guess, didn't want to see crashed within 3 months

1988 Mk3 Targa - Originally a built 7M car w/ GT4088 turbo, AEM, etc. Now running a LS1/T56 combination with cnc ported heads, mild cam, etc. ~ 400 RWHP. This is my summer daily driver. Generally not well received by Supra lovers but it went in without cutting, everything works (gauges/speedo, lights, etc). While I miss the turbo and M sounds, it's proven to be great fun on the street and much less temperamental.

Like most folks life, work, family often puts a hold to the hobby for a while. Looking to get back into the mk2 scene as I enjoy the driving experience far more than the mk3.

Welcome. The first step in recovering is admitting that you have a problem.

7 posts over 16 years, and a true Supra fan...
Widow maker, I do remember this one, didn't (car) end up in the Prairies at some point?
Not sure the rally would be good for the car, but hey, it's yours!
And this place is still the best one for MK2's.
Welcome back!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.

Great memory RedP85. The car ended up in Alberta for a number of years (6 to 8 I guess) before returning home with the past owner.

My intent is to enter the fast touring class of the event, since it's non competitive there is no timing and much lower speeds. So hopefully with that comes lower risk.
