8.8 solid axle 🤷
Going to start my 8.8 solid axle swap this winter 🤞..
Going solid as I drag race this car and also will be installing a cage...
Will post updates as I move along with the build..

Why not keep it in the Toyota family, and use an 8" truck axle ?

Probably has to do with fact you can buy the Ford axle and rebuild it with all new parts for less that the cost of just the LSD in a Toyota diff.

I'm honestly not a Ford guy by any means , but as most know the access to parts is widespread! And I've got the parts already... so far I've torn the axle down and getting prepared to cut all the mounting tabs off and clean it all up prior the the tube shortening...
