Actually, I thought he did an excellent job of describing the various parts, their location and application. Read it, look at your car....you'll figure it out.

Mark:

Off of the top of my head, this is what I'm pretty sure I need:

One of the flare filler pieces (the lowest portion on the right front) for my '85, possibly the upper windshield molding and right rear quarter-window molding for my '84, and some of those damn clips that hold the windshield side-trim pieces down - I can't get those damn upper corners to sit down like they should.

I will go over both cars completely this weekend, then send you the complete list of what I need.

Thanks
Bob

Hey Bob...most glass guys ditch the clips and add a little extra urethane sealer under the moldings to glue them on. The windshield moldings listed are for the 85-86 cars. There's a couple or reasons behind that madness...first of all the newer side moldings come with the corners already attached to them...second and most important of all...the earlier moldings are discontinued...including the corner pieces.

wow... glad I got my stuff when I did :) hehe. Too bad about the gutter moldings though :( Mine are in rough shape now compared to the rest of the car!

(just wait till you see my calender pics ;)

Also Mark, you forgot to list the 82-84 spoiler-to-hatch rubber pieces as being unavailable. AND, you forgot the hatch lock cylinder grommet :D

Thanks again!

Every time I look at my new wiskers (still not installed) and compare them to my sunroof seal (also not installed), I have a hard time understanding Toyota's pricing. The sunroof seal seems to be so much more involved and yet it's $10 cheaper than ONE Wisker :duh:

Thanks for this list Mark, you ceratinly make things much easier for us! I'll be looking to get anything available for my 85 hatch (except the large seal - I have an extra which seems to be soft enough).

first of i appreciate the work you do, thanks mark, and secondly, the "rear hatch stopper", is that the two pieces inside the hatch wall on both sides by the lower section of the hatch, that catches, the bottom of the hatch, and subsequently at the same time, stops it from rattling? if so, is there any other method or thing you could use in place or to replace those stoppers? i may check the junkyard later, but that could explain while im driving, why i hear my hatch or something in the rear rattling? thanks for your help again!!!

The rear hatch stoppers are actually screwed to the quarter panel, and the second piece is screwed to the hatch panel. The hatch panel piece is plastic, where as the qtr panel piece is rubber. It's the rubber piece that wears out, and I'm working on seeing if a later model Supra one will work. My MkIV has pieces very similar, so I'm getting some pics and dimensions from my trusty (crusty) MkII guru. I'll have more info on that at a later date.

Pretty much everything trim is discontinued for these cars if you want the easy answer. The headlight whiskers are still available though. My recommendation for anyone is to put any part number in here;

https://parts.toyotaofcoolsprings.com/

They seem to have the most accurate info if a part is discontinued or not.
