    I just grabbed the slide hammer from work and my pilot bearing popped out in about 5 seconds.

    when I did mine I tore out the middle where the balls were and then used a harbor freight puller haha

    got a chance to try out William's method using the wet paper towel pieces - works very well!
    P-Type purchased new March 1982, 2JZGTE ,Truetrac/3.73,Borg Warner EFR turbo, AEM ems, OS Giken twin disc clutch, Raptorracing 3" exhaust, BBK, NAL seats etc.

    Wet paper towel, very easy cleanup compared to grease method.
