I'm having the same gap issues with the OEM hood. I do like your solution. Thanks for the idea.

I don't know about anyone else but I only have forward to back hood adjustability. Bolt holes for the hood hinges are not positioned where they need to be. I have too much gap on the driver's side and almost no gap on the passenger side. Looks like im going to modify the hinges to get it to move side to side.
Are you using hood pins with yours? I haven't mounted my ts hood yet because snow season is coming and it would be pointless to mount my hood. But I feel as if I should at least test fit it now though, seeing as how your having gap issues.

No hood pins. just mounted to the hinges. I haven't even installed the hood supports yet. Im not sure how that will pan out.

I plan on drilling out stock struts so they longer lift at all, then drilling holes in the thinner silver shaft to put a pin in once you have it lifted, just haven't gotten around to it yet... For now I took them off and keep a board in the hatch, classy style

I'm afraid of rocking my ts hood without pins. For fear of it smashing into my windshield. I do need to test fit it though lol

As I recall, the stock hood hinges have some adjustment, front/back and side/side. The backing plate that contacts the underside of the hood (with the stock mounting bolts going through it) has some play available. Not a lot, but some. If you need more than stock play allows, there's a number of creative ways (I'm sure you will figure it out) to deal with it. Make sure the latch hook at the front of the hood is not hanging up the adjustment, and the rubber bump stops at the two front corners are adjusted properly.

    Just from memory.

btw, I really like the look of the TS hoods. Anybody get a chance to weigh one before installing? Be very interested in spec.

Mine took several months and much Texas sunlight to no longer be bowed up in the middle. You could literally watch it go from bowed to flat as the engine heated it up. it's now 70ish degrees outside tonight and its laying flat. I think it just takes some time for it to "set". BTW I do not have the supports on my car either, even though mine were dead it felt like they put too much stress on the hood.
