I was out at the Mall today and saw this 1976/7 First Generation Facelift Celica.
It's not perfect, but it's pretty darned nice.
I don't know much about these cars.

It looks like it's getting the JDM look. Are the louvers the original Shadow parts?

You're that mature, not that old! Physically mature.

I always loved the first generation too but could not quite afford them.
Can you tell if this a 1976 or a 1977?

I can't, even after I've re-read articles about them.
May be I could say 76 because of no rubber bumper blocks, but even that could have been replaced since.
There is one (77) that I see every year at car shows that have direct Japanese bumper replacement, just because of the ugly big blocks.

Looks like my 77. Had the same rear hatch shadow kit. The front mirrors, aire dam and rear spoiler are not OEM for a 77.
